I’m not surprised.
As you know I have been fortunate to own R,P and G and nothing can compare to that absolute gut wrenching feeling I had in 2016 at the Saatchi London exhibition when I walked in and those that went will remember one of the first cabinets housed the Vintage re-editions it was there I set eyes on the 5970g with Salmon dial. In 40 years never had a feeling like it. It had a light around it that for me was like I’d stumbled across the holy grail. Sounds crass but true. I knew I had to own it and I knew I had found my grail.
This was how it looked in that case at the exhibition.
The rest is history.
BTW the funny thing is that for me the P is my least favourite and I struggle to tell the time.

Between the versions proposed, I hesitate between G and R. The G is rather unsurprising for me as I often prefer white metals, the P is very cold with the black dial (and as I see on my 5960P-016 sometimes hard to read). But surprisingly I love the R: nor...

But I love rose gold, and my all time favorite grail is the 5270r on bracelet black dial.

I like the coldness and neutrality of the WG best. The black dial platinum is the most classical fit, though 👍🏻

If I had to choose one that will be it. And I have done so. The platinum is cool but will cost me too much coin. Best Gatsby P.S. almost bought the white gold version because it is so casual and suits my daily life the most.

But if I could pick one, it would be the P black dial.
Had I listened to my adult daughter...
P would be edging it. She loved everything about the P but I balked at the price and wasn't sure about the look. I love my Rose gold but totally understand the appeal of the platinum.
