Patek Philippe

I wouldn't say it's a Patek Philippe issue...

It's not an issue limited to any specific brand.  Although Patek Philippe seems to get the brunt of it.  And overall, I'd say Patek Philippe does make wonderful products.  They're still a great manufacturer making good products.  Although I don't like all of their dial designs, and they've made a few misses recently.  It's just in this frenzy, old world values that these brands market themselves as being "masters of old world craftsmanship" and the values behind that craftsmanship are all waning.  Then again, the sales side of the business isn't the same side as the manufacturing side.  But the two are becoming more and more disconnected.  And remember, what happened to this sign could happen in any country and to any brand.  It could be a Breguet, a Vacheron Constantin, or other company's sign.  It's more a sign of the times that sales organizations are all rushed.  Business is great.  Supplies are low.  Lots of consumers out there.  It's a "seller's market" in the watch and jewelry industry right now.
