People indeed do not seem to take pride in their work anymore. This work ethic is disappearing. You're exactly right, I think you've spotted the root of the problem. Furthermore, there used to be a desire for people to "belong to society" as well as "be a part to society" and to "contribute to society." And I find that people have become more selfish over the years and decide they are above society and don't need to adjust their habits to be a part of society. For instance the man who was wearing a tank top on the plane after exercising... And after complaining, the airline resat me, causing me to lose my aisle seat and getting a middle seat. Argh!

But it's probably not the display manufacturer, it was probably just damaged while putting things in and out of the window. Maybe someone's sleeve caught the logo and broke off a piece of it while pulling something out of the display case.
