It's a tough choice, but I would pick a...
5960P-016 (black dial), Yegor.
The 5960-family is an important part of Patek's history because it features their first ever self-winding chronograph developed and manufactured in-house (caliber CH 28-520 IRM QA 24H), which was unveiled to the public for the first time in 5960P-001 (gray dial) nine years ago. However, it also features an annual calendar, which in fact was patented by Patek in 1996. In other words it offers both history and useful complications. The former can't be said for the 5905 IMHO.
But why would you pick a 5960P-016, Ouroboros? It had a short run production of just one year (2013-2014), which most likely will affect its value retention, but also due to the monochromatic ''theme''.

Thank you so much - I love love 5905! Choice between dials will be an interesting battle for sure - I think initially I was concerned about thickness of the watch as I wanted something to be worn comfortably with a suit. Decisions, decisions.

Without my 5960A, I would probably decided for 5960P, black dial. However, the pushers of 5905 are much nicer and the chronometer is more readable. Best, Kari

5960p is now out of consideration due to availability and how much I can spend unfortunately. There is 30,000 difference between 5205 and 5905 black dial. I guess its down to those options today. This making my head hurt.
