It is the right time to...

Hi Francois,

it is the right time to start now!

1) Vintage pieces are smaller than the contemporary ones - so they can be bought much cheaper as fashion commands large pieces now...

2) Due to the financial crisis some people have to sell now...  a chance to obtain collectible pieces.

3) Vintage watch prices will go up every year as PP raises the prices for the contemporary watches every year.

The earlier you start the better...

Just my thoughts.

regards

Erich

Hi fellas, as my post number 1000 approached I started a lot of consideration where to post it... I am torn between PP and Omega. So I made the decision to post 2 special watches, one on the PP forum will receive number 999 and the 1000th post will be on ...

Great idea, Erich, and, first of all, congratulations on your 1000 th to come!

But, before going on the Omega forum, a few words about this Vintage PP. I'm not a colored gold but what's not to love here? The delicately worked lugs, contrasting with the simple, sober beauty of the dial, that is indeed a keeper. A piece which reveals ...

Hi Julian, I know that you are also a "vintage guy" with beautiful pieces! It is a pity that there are so few vintage lovers here on this forum - it is completely different on the Omega forum - there we discuss mainly vintage pieces - interesting differen...

It certainly got a lot of flair. Why it is call a flame? I'm not to familiar with the old world Patek. By the way is there something significant about the pre 60s models? Thanks for sharing the watch with us. Best Tyler

Hi Tyler, thank you for your kind comments. The name "flame" was chosen due to the shape of the lugs... There is noting particular for the pre 60ies models... I think you misunderstood my statement. I wanted to express that 99% of my watch collection (mos...

Superb watch (and my take on your remarks).

Hi Jerome, I appreciate your kind comment and I also agree with what you wrote about PP watches. This is the reason why I have several pieces in my collection I do not collect modern Omegas, vintage only. And there are incredible pieces, both in aesthetic...
