Lovely photographs and exquisite watches are such a nice combination.
I must be getting older because lately PPs are more and more luscious to me, particularly when someone as talented as you photographs them, Gary. In terms of preference, I have to agree with my esteemed colleague of the French persuasion. 5070, 5970 then 5270 in that order. This will sound unintentionally harsh, but compared to the other two, the 5270 is somewhat sterile dial side. That's entirely subjective, of course, and the 5270 is a marvelous watch on its own. Next to the other two, though, it loses something for me.

to me, the 5070 is the clear winner in terms of coolness.
And the 5970 G is terms of elegance. There is something in between the 5070 P and the 5970 G: The 5970 P. I would have hard time to decide which of the two " P " I prefer. If only the 5270 didn't have these 2 small portholes... Best, and thanks for the ph...

The 5270 just does not have the balance of classical Patek.... you want to love it, but... you have to be a Patek diehard I think to love it. Thank you Gary for stunning, incredible photos. And that photo of you, stunned from receiving your Dufour, really...
No doubt it will find its fans... But I am more attracted to the 5970P.

Especially for the wristshots, they give the best impression you can have of a watch imho. I didn't have the luck to try the 5270 but I remeber quite well the 5970G and the 5070P. At first for me the 5070 even with all his "mistakes" is the best of three....

5070p wins for me in terms of overall wearability. 5970 in terms of classic look. 5270 face is still a tad off centered for me but that movement is spectacular.

The 5970 has such great balance....it is such an elegant watch. If i was at a crucial business meeting (which I never am), and wanted a classy watch to wear with my suit, then I'd choose a vintage Rolex (LoL)....but in the absence of the Rolly, I'd choose...
