The proportions are perfect, the dial with these Breguet numbers, and the two silver tones is just sublime, as well as the delicate hands.
A solid case back?
Not a big deal, to me, as the movement is small, and not that spectacular to be seen.
I own it for more than 3 years, now, and I'm still strongly in love with it.
Now, if I has to choose only one PP, I would prefer the WT, 5130 or 5110.
But I'm completely sold to the WT!

One of my favorite Pateks as well.

Still the same trouble.

Which competition is your favorite?
Personally; only a few come to mind... The F.P. Journe Chronometre Souverain is a very nice watch right in this price range. Comes with an extra fourth hand for power reserve. Philippe Dufour Simplicty (if one can get one) would be stunning. Kari Voutilai...

I looked at purchasing this wach a couple of years ago. I like the general look of the watch, but the position of the sub dial really erks me. I did go and look at one in person and found it was a little thin for my liking.
Its for me what a simple yet classic Patek should be.....
Although I would prefer a full size sweep second hand. And to have a power reserve would be just the icing on the cake. Saying all of that I hope soon to join the ownership ranks of a 5196.

Hi, I love the 5196P, I find it very beautiful and it is for me the best simple round current PP. Still for me it will always come second to a 5098 (R at around the same price or P more expensive). Try a 5098 before! Cheers Dje
