Some like some do not. The movement size is really irrelevant to the final watch. The series has the PP look and heritage which other watches do not. I suspect the 5196 will be retired soon and a watch with a larger movement with more features will be presented. These would include: a hacking feature and a longer power reserve. The display back is a cost saver to any manufacturer so keen it is, customers desire it. If anything the watch will grow in size but gain just a little thickness. The exact same case is used in the 5170 and 5496 and they both wear well at 39.5 mm.
