So I think they rejigged the dial abit.. “Swiss” was moved to the outer ring and that left more space for 120 tachymeter.. they also changed the date fonts.. in the P, the date font is abit larger (eg look at the 11) and so the 7 in 27 and the 2 in 29 was shrunken just a tiny bit.. but enough to bother me 🤣

I wonder why the platinum dial is the only

Oh, yes, well spotted! I much prefer the original smaller font.
Not a thing I immediately noticed, but now that you point it out... It makes me even more drawn to the J variant...

I think it has to do with P being a purer alloy
P is 95% Pt alloy.. J, R, G is 75% Au alloy And also P is harder material to work with

For the versatility.. but every version has its unique character.. even all the gold versions have subtly different dials ie G is acier, R is argente and J is opaline ...
For me easily the WG model, imho the nec plus ultra Patek reference.
Would trade my 5270G-001 for it in a heartbeat, alas quite a price delta between the two nowadays. Cheers, Pieter

the P because of the black dial looks powerful !
