You've handled a really spectacular reference, thanks for the beautiful pictures! An important fact to highlight is that, in all Patek references at any price point, the numerals/markers are always applied by hand (never printed).

Hi Fab, here is what I found for applied vs printed Brequet numerals.

Thanks, my bad, so there are apparently Calatravas with printed numerals, at least in a LE👍I do remember pretty clearly though this was never the case (at least in the standard production, of any level), are there recent examples in the regular catalog?

PS Here’s an excerpt taken from an official Patek article that seems to confirm my point, I believe the whole article is publicly available (in any event, some sporadic examples of printed numerals must exist, like in your Beijing LE ;-)

Thanks, that’s correct, so there are a few regular printed pieces, against my recollection and the above document (I’ll try to check with Patek on it, as it was an official article and it’s highly unusual). Sorry in any case for not being accurate here👍

I don’t see any contradiction at all. The article merely says if the numeral are raised they will be applied by hand. It does not say all numerals are raised.

This 5950 is a grail worthy piece indeed. As for Breguet numerals, who knows but from what I have seen in person, no one out-Breguets Breguet themselves 😉😜
