I like to think there isn't a difference as I am considering adding a model with Breguet numerals to my collection. The reason why I questioned it is because those breguet numerals look like hard work to finish to exquisite level, and IMO it would make the 5170 and 5940 fantastic propositions to obtain the same beautiful Breguet numerals at a lower price point.

You've handled a really spectacular reference, thanks for the beautiful pictures! An important fact to highlight is that, in all Patek references at any price point, the numerals/markers are always applied by hand (never printed).
Frankly, I would be surprised if there were any significant differences in the quality of the numerals from reference to reference, but let's see if some owners of both references will comment on this point ;-) Cheers.
Hi Fab, here is what I found for applied vs printed Brequet numerals.
The 5153 London limited edition during 2015 has applied numerals. The 5153 Beijing Maison limited edition has printed numerals. The 5153G Beijing Maison limited edition (25 pieces) has printed Brequet numerals. The 5153G London limited edition (80 pieces)...

not have applied numerals. Perhaps this article was released before the 5153 Beijing was launched in 2014 ?
5959P-001has painted Breguet numerals.
5159 and 5059 have printed numerals. Retrograde date rings of 5050 and 5496P-001 also have printed numerals. There are many vintage pieces with printed numerals too.

I believe the 5959 have printed numerals too. I can imagine the applied numerals more difficult to manufacture, though aesthetically, I find the printed numerals even more elegant.

There were more rare and expensive Pateks present but I spent my time only gazing at this movement
My grail too, in particular the black dial version 👍
I do think, however, that Patek has better proportions, volume and execution of Breguet numerals compared to Breguet (ironically)

Even among application pieces, grand comps and perpetual chronographs, this is the first Patek that really took my breath away

My dad owns a 5124g, the Gondolo with salmon dial and black Breguet numerals that I THINK are indistinguishable from the ones you're showing here. (Congratulations on even getting to handle that watch, btw! That's an all-time grail in my book.)
That's the problem, I have seen a 5170 and a 5950 but never together..
I do feel that they are the same quality... just not for certain. Anyway thank you for sharing!
