They need a lower end market line to maintain marketshare. This way they have a fall back product line for the bad economic times ahead. And I find the Nautilus much more elegant too! Maybe this watch looks better in person and even better on the wrist?

Nobody with a nanogram of common sense might believe that the auction's "performance" was not staged. Patek is a successful company that is advertising, promoting and selling its new watch, no need to play those games (flippers are more than enough).

The advertisement appears legit, unlikely to be a hoax. The new model needs a name with 3 syllables to match Aqunaut, Nautilaus but Patek could have tried bit harder.

He's probably going to say, "I look a lot better than Lewis Hamilton!" I'd say the model looks nicer than the watch, I really don't like the dial layout of this watch and I feel the model looks like a model. Of course, things may change in person.
I would be interested in seeing the new model (this one or whatever is the actual model) in person before passing judgement.
