Sounds like a winning formula. Also, IMHO making a mistake by passing on a watch is not nearly as bad as buying something that is a mistake.
Buy a mistake and you're stuck with it. Making a mistake by not buying something merely means you are cash ready for the next opportunity that might be even better than the watch passed.
