Maybe I am biased as I love the Nautilus line-up but, when it comes to these watches, I noticed that people would be very tempted to have more than one. So do I.
By the way, the 5711/1R is from this year (I made a review here: www.watchprosite.com
but the 5990/1A was presented the year before, in 2014 (I talked about the complication with a few pictures here: www.watchprosite.com
).
When it comes to Nautiluses, my main criterion is the thinness, thus I lean toward the 5711 and 5712.
The 5712/1A with the 240 caliber is naturally my favorite (and mine already).
But I would also like to have a 5711/1A Blue dial a lot because of the little additional elegance of the 3-hands only.
This being said, I like the 5726/1A and 5980/1A both with white dial (even if the 5980 is really too big for me). The 5980/1R (full RG with brown dial) is a very attracting one too.
These are my favorite models.
I'm eager to see which one you picked but as I nearly love them all I can only say it is a good choice in advance!
Have a happy day for your birthday, this is a great occasion to purchase a Patek.
Cheers, Mark
