Patek Philippe

There is a lot to discuss on this topic

Firstly, thank you for sharing your honest opinion about what you think on the market.

I guess the demand evolves very much (for the last decade at elast) and that Patek Philippe has expanded its offer. It is a matter of increasing the qualified workforce I think more that an annual production volume.

As for the finishing etc, as you said there are the Grand COmplication but from what I've seen from 15 to 25 K€ pieces, the movement (for instance) looks much better than the entry level movement in its competitors.

Maybe it will not always seem perfect but compared to other brands making much less volume, it is not necessary "less".

But there is always room for improvement and you may also be right. I'm just trying to bring a different point of view on that matter.

To follow your "car" industry parallel, I would say that if they do it then it means people want it. This may be difficult to understand for some watch collectors but maybe others share a different appeal for this reference (even if many will share yours I think as it is the kind of watch which will bring controversy).

As I said earlier, imho, this is a sporty Calatrava "inspired" by pilot watches but is not a pilot toolwatch (material, size, rough finishing etc...). That's how I understand it.

But I fully understand your reaction which is perfectly legitimate.

Thank you for your honest thoughts about this watch, it is nice to hear people not in agreement expressing it a respectful way.

Cheers kpk, Mark
