As for the material, well, I think that Steel has a special place in Patek's history and it is difficult to make a classical model in that metal (except Nautilus and Aquanaut I mean).
The exception is the 5960A.
As it is not really a toolwatch it doesn't bother me and I would even say it brings a luxurious touch which is nice.

If the watch looked like the 3rd Picture...
