This one is not a double split
Frankly I did not read all of Jerome's very interesting post, just read across and will do later more, but this is "only" a split second chrono.
Lange's double split chrono is something very different: it is TWO 30 minute chronos where, and here come a big, big difference(!), you can graphically show the best / worst lap time by activating one chrono again and again and keeping the taken best / worst laptime on the rattrapante dial / hands.
If the new time is better or worse: you push twice the counter at ten and the hands jump to the new time and stay there.
I mentioned this already in a post in respond to Amery, a proud owner of a Lange DS.
Did not have a chance to test this myself but having read and article and have thought about it: it should do!
Finally: a monumental movement like the DS's is from out of this world.
