Another option with Fuji is to get an X-E + 27mm (41mm equiv.) pancake.
Still quite small, but now you can use other lenses when you want, too. Fuji's 14mm (21mm equiv.) is really great, for example. If you're in Japan, you should have access to a huge selection of vintage lenses in excellent condition...

I have the x100t, which is 2 versions old (x100f & x100v) and already the hybrid optical / electronic rangefinder style viewfinder was excellent. The x100v has a 1/2 inch viewfinder with 0.52x magnification... as well as a new (compared to the x100f) 3.69...
