Disclaimer: I am not a fan of HDR

and maybe you can see my preferences come through in the following HDR composite...

Details:
01) using three photos taken on 27-Feb
02) constructed using Canon DPP (three images maximum)
03) I darkened the blacks a bit as it's a pre-sunrise photo and adjusted the horizon

Comment: I am somewhat satisfied with the foreground, but the distant horizon became somewhat "un-sharp" / "off focus"

a SLIK Grand Master II , which is a very sturdy (and a little heavy) aluminum tripod with a three way head. The carrying case is 0.75 meters long... the three way head is very convenient when using a medium format camera... in my case the image is reverse...

That 190CX is a nice tripod and it looks similar to the Gitzo 1 series I've got, albeit with newer technology in it. It's remarkable how sturdy the Gitzo is for the length it packs down into. Still keen to see some HDR cityscapes from you.
