VC vs Piaget

Thanks for your good wishes. It is not a straight fight between a VC Patrimony Contemporaine and this Altiplano because the VC is bigger in all dimensions, having an automatic movement as well.
The Altiplano case is only 38mm x 6.01mm at worst (edges are thinner), whereas the VCPC is relatively huge at 40mm x 8.31mm; albeit with a transparent caseback.
The Piaget 9P movement is 2.15mm thin whereas the VC 2450 movement is 3.6mm thick.
Now, if Piaget produces a contemporary ultra-thin automatic movement, then we can compare "apples with apples". Ah....for a modern-day 12P movement...sigh?

Dear Moderator, it seems that calibre 1208P
automatic calibre for the new Altiplano is the thinnest automatic movement available with 5.25mm. The total diameter of the watch is 43mm and the case back have a sapphire to see through. Hope to see it in the metal. Cheers, patrickh
