Richard Mille

My preference among your choices....

I owned a RM002 V2 in WG.  It was a very nice watch - and I thought my ultimate watch - but I sold it because I just did not have the passion for it.

In my opinion, it was too small - and yes it was smaller than the RM10 - I think it uses the RM05 case.  In comparison the RM004 makes far more visual impact.  I have also owned a RM11 in Ti and it was a bit large but the main issue was the movement was terrible in my opinion.  A bolted on chrono module that caused the minute hand to jump when engaged.  Plus other problems - too many for my liking.  And it was a lot more common (not that I have ever seen a RM on a strangers wrist!).  So I had mine fixed and then sold it.

The RM003 was very interesting to me - mainly because it was larger than the RM 002 - more along the RM 10 size.  But I thought the GMT function was out of place particularly since the second time zone indicator was so large and in my opinion out of place.  In all fairness, I never owned a RM003 so I cannot speak definitively about it.

Now the RM008 was PERFECT - combining the split second and tourbillion features and of course the right size.  But alas, far too expensive for mere mortals.

So, I guess what I am telling you - and not just because I own one - the RM 004 is and would be my choice!

Marc

PS - I have seen an article that speaks about only 15-25 RM004s made per year due to the complexity and cost of making this fine piece.  The article also claims it is headed for extinction because RM supposedly loses money on each one sold........
