I'd pick the RM004. Years from now when RM004 has long been discontinued, it will be highly collectible. I agree it is one of the most significant split second chronos ever made. The Patek 5004 was a split second built on top of an existing Chrono base, but the RM004 has a movement only made for this watch. The difficulty assembling and adjusting this watch ensures that not many will be made. Roughly 2 per month were getting made, but Richard Mille is a small company, with only so many watchmakers, and even then just a few who can make the RM004, so as new watches are introduced, I wouldn't be surprised if production decreases further.

No, Vaucher only produce the basic movement,
the chrono module was developed with Dubois Dépraz who are the same firm who manufacture the module for the AP Royal Oak Offshore. They produce the best chrono modules in the business. Andrew H
