I have by no means a collection like yours, even with the few pieces you have left... mine is mainly spread around other brands with a few Rolex' that I wear. And actually are not vintage watches.
I like the 80/20 rule. 20% of the watches gives you 80% of the pleasure.
I have it the same way. But when we purchased a new home 3 years back, did I install a safe at home to have a few more pieces at home, and less at the bank. My conclusion was, that having the watch at home and not in the bank would make me wear it more. 3 years later that almost didn't happen. So I decided 7-8 Months ago to reduce my collection.
Here my 80/20 rule came a little different. I have a great at part of my collection where more the digging into the nitty gritty, the search for other collectors input, the search for the facts, the hunt itself was the pleasure. While actually owning the watch made me forget about it.
So I started the process of reducing my collection from around 63 watches to 10, and than adding maybe 2-3. Or maybe 4...
Thank you for a great post and thread that was a pleasure to read
Best
