I had tried it on years ago. It was the same blue dial but in white gold. In the end I walked away from it. But since then I bought a 40mm polar explorer 2, a 41mm Tudor black bay GMT, a 36mm explorer 1 and have a blue BB58 coming. All for less than the skydweller that I thought didn’t fit me so well. So no regrets. 🤣😊

I, too, have a love hate relationship with the fluted bezel.
Functions aside, i sometimes love the way it catches the light. Sometimes I feel it screams too much when I’m around town.

I believe they are but they still bug me :-)
In general I think Rolex hands are not has visible as they should be due to how they polish them compared to other brands. Except for the more sporty hands like in the submariners and the like, I find most of the "straight" hands from Rolex do not provide...

Whaouah, you had a chance at the WG blue SkyD Roger. That is a bit of a unicorn from Rolex as they only made VERY few. It is actually the one I want and I would happily trade my blue and white dials in SS for the WG blue dial, even if I had to add cash 💸

Yeah. I was even told at the time that it was a unicorn.
But buying just to hold on and sell later isn’t my thing. I sold my blue dial patek 5980 because it just didn’t wear right on me. I made money, but that’s not my general pursuit.
Similar to others, this timepiece creates polar opposites... fun dialogue.
