About Kari and the topic of the regulator. I have studied a lot about the Spring Drive, and it is a horological grail for all major manufacturers including Patek, Breguet, etc since the 70s. The fact that Seiko committed to its development from 77 till the late 90s to make it a reality commands only my respect. AP tried to license it from Seiko, and a couple more top end Swiss houses.
So, it is a horological milestone imho, and in case someone gets exposed to the accuracy of the Spring Drive or its sweeping seconds, then it is hard to go back from that.
Then, if you add the fact the GS spared no effort to make this the best watch it can possibly create (see hard pressed platinum vs melted one, the movement materials/thickness/Dufour level finishing, etc) and then you can see why this is a pure masterpiece.
