This will be my first ever Grand Seiko purchase
I have left a 20% deposit with the Seiko London boutique and yes you are right about delivery only beginning in July. I am happy I have waited this long to purchase a Grand Seiko as I had wanted a slim watch and most Grand Seikos I had noticed were on the thick side. This is arguably the smallest ever Grand Seiko with a spring drive movement at 38.5mm. It was important for me to have a Grand Seiko with a spring drive movement due to its superb accuracy of 15 seconds a month and also I love the sweep second hand that glides so smoothly as compared to a normal mechanical watch.

i have sent an email to the Seiko Boutique in London to place an order for the steel model. I love the fact that it has no date, measures only 38.5mm and is thin by Grand Seiko standards. The fact that it is a limited edition is an added bonus.

An attractive price and I love the simplicity and purity of the watch - this will be my first Grand Seiko and I have been looking for a good steel watch so this ticks all the boxes. Even the sunray dial appeals to me!

Thinking of doing the same myself as the SBGY003 ticks so many boxes. How was your experience? The alternative I have is to contact the Wako store in Tokyo who are super great with service and knowledge. Only being shopped early July however I gather.
