I am from Como, which in the past few years has become one of the super touristic places in Italy.
I always love that tourist come visit, of course (many people here disagree, though). Just be warned: this city is pretty small and the surroundigs are not very easy to access. In short: be prepared to stand in queues for hours under a 35°C sun in June-July and August. Or stuck in a bus for an infinite of time on the Lake roads, they are extremely narrow.
Come visit in September/October and also In late April/May to see the real beauty of our city and lake.
