Your picture almost makes me want to fly to Chicago just to eat the pizza, heh. I have to say that one of the best pizzas I ever had was at Tra Vigne in Napa Valley. But I will always love the big thin slices from the little mom and pop shops in New York.

is great pizza--if you like it thin. I have yet to find Truly Marvelous Pizza in LA, but Georgios in Studio City is also excellent for thick crust. Bon Appetit. BTW, agreement here that Mozza is only so-sozza.

Deep dish is getting too greasy for me as I get older I have to agree with Ping about the NYC mom and pop stores. I'll always remember Ben's Pizza on Spring Street in Soho.

it put all slices before it to shame... and it was just 'some place' in Venice. It was very thin and seemed to have very little cheese and sauce on it, YET the flavor was sublime and at the same time, filling and comforting... Ah Italy is Heaven.

My wife and I love Venice, and I can't wait till my daugthers are older so we can take a family trip there. Cheers, Anthony
