Like you Jon, I used to be a Persol guy. But the quality isn’t what it used to be.
Maui Jims are good. Serengeti should also be good, and I’ve seen Ray Ban making Polarized glasses (again). Enjoy!

Sure does. Unfortunately they don’t fit me very well.
As with watches, so in sunglasses we have to try them on to see if they “sing to us”. Therefore I never bought shades online without trying them on first.

I agree about the original glasses in Mauis are excellent. These ones are the best I ever had. I can look out at the ocean / water all day and not get tired in my eyes. But they are costly compared to the newer Mauis with plastic. ...

Yes, agreed! I used to live by the water and so I never went outside without Maui Jims - 365 days a year. Tried and lost many sunglasses, nothing beats those lenses, even lost a pair overboard once, grabbed some goggles and pulled them off the bottom beca...
Like many companies they try to cut costs in the production I guess.
Ha ha I’ve lost a good pair too. When water skiing. Tried to dive after them when they fell off, but couldn’t with the vest on 🤣
