The moment I saw the blue and gold layers I immediately thought about the death mask, it is such an iconic design and captured my imagination when I was a kid. As someone who doesn't collect pen I found your comment about not inking this pen interesting, I can only speculate to preserve its quality and value, at the same time and without reading too much into it, isn't it incredibly tempting to be the first one to try it? Maybe such dilemmas keep you awake during long winter nights!

You need to get a nice pen! If not the Guggenheim you wanted, then maybe a nice pen from Graf Von Faber Castell!
Try them out!
The Guggenheim to me was a little heavy. Great for writing short memos and grandiose signatures. But not great for writing long letters.
