Exactly one year after our first trip to The UK, my friend decided on buying an Aston Martin Vantage Roadster .... . Yesterday we took the boat to pick up the beauty ... . Upon arrival my attention drew to the V12 Vantage, truly my dreamcar but oh so unre...

Eagerly awaiting. Driving in Place Vendome and on Champs Elysses... Seems almost cinematic. At the last minute, Nicolas can do some car stunts on Rue Faubourg St. Honore.

They are not listening to you Bim: 7000 rpm in fourth gear ??? This is a car that easily disposes of most European speed limits while still in third gear: what did your speedo say on the rev limiter in fourth?? Cheers, pplater

"They are not listening to you Bim" did not mean 'we don't believe you', it meant "Didn't anybody else register the significance of what Bim has just told us ???" It is no small achievement to hit the rev limiter in fourth in a Vantage: it will be fascina... 

[No idea what happened there - tech hitch?] The first part of that post - before it disappeared in 'parsing', whatever that is - read something like: How easy it is to be misunderstood. The phrase "They're not listening to you Bim" was not meant as 'we do... 

It could have been 6732 rpm also ... and to be honest that was performed on a slightly bigger road (the same road were we hit +/- 5500 rpm in 6th (i think) with the 580 hp RS6 .... which was 260 kph ... . Note: to understand the significance of this, one ...

having been your passenger for 5 days i have no doubt about your late night run and can only imagine what the neighbours were thinking when you pulled 7000rpm in any gear. i assume you didnt drive it the same way you drove your mini as its not your car. m... 

you break it ... you fix it ... or have it fixed ... or pay it back .... in this case it could be a problem for me .... Filip

... has so much character, it is one of the few gentlemen spotscars left IMO .... drive it (fairly) slow and nobody notices you ... pull it over 5000 rpm and everybody hears you ... and if they're quick enough they can catch a glimpse of you .... Filip

on the 1st night. Those 1st rides at night are simply the best. I remember when Ping and I got our Mini Cooper S Convertible, that first night we took it out for a nice short ride with the top down. Ahh my god that was heaven! Learning the feel of this ad... 

Anthony, we couldn't open the roof because of the bad wheather ... but the drive was a thrill indeed ... . The sound is just amazing ... A couple of months ago i took a Mini Convertible Cooper S (R56) for a drive with the top down and it really makes you ... 

You should show these pics to your friend and so that he knows we're all so happy for him! What a cool car! -MW

and thank you for the very nice photo report. You did mix up the first few photos starting with a DBS then V12V, then DBS diffuser and finally V12V diffuser . Your friend is rightly overjoyed with his new car and hopefully you get the pleasure of driving ...
