But UN, as I understand it, lost access to their UN32 parts when Lemania and Breguet were sold to Swatch in 1999, the same year Ebel was bought by LVMH. Ebel used up their supply but then had Dubois-Depraz make the 40 or so specialized parts the 137 needed. So, yes, Swatch had no role in development, but certainly affected the movement’s history.
