Help needed for 1972 references
Hello everybody,
I´m about to purchase a 1972 in WG with mechanical mov. and white face.
I foudn in a old VC document th ateh refernce number is 37010/000G 8835 but my contact (selling the watch) cliams his watch has following reference number: X37G4850. Are these two the same or are these just two different watches?

I think the seller is reading the numbers off of the tag tied on the buckle when the watch is displayed at the dealer's shop, which is a different numbering system than the reference numbering of a watch. Does the seller have the papers, which might have ...

The seller says VC has used two types of references for that watch one is an "old" one the other a more recent one; there is no difference. My first thought was exactly what you say (internal stock number or something like that) but it seems it is not the...
