Vacheron Constantin

Many variants of the Vacheron Constantin ref. 4073 have been made. Among them, the two show below are among the most appealing , imo. Roman or Arabic numerals: which one do your prefer ? Roman for me ! Best, Emmanuel A/ TWO TONE DIAL WITH APPLIED ROMAN NU...

Romans. I think the purely linear numerals work with the chapter ring and VC vintage stick dial - so this is the exception. I just wish the case was a bit bigger

I agree that the Roman numerals work well here (but I have nothing against them in general). Best, Emmanuel

Having handled both I can say that they are beautiful in person and on the wrist but if I had to pick one it would be the steel. Probably the nicest steel example I have had the pleasure of handling especially with that dial.

And of course I thank you for these beautiful photos. Steel is not a metal I feel attracted to most of the times and I personally like Roman numerals, but I fully trust you concerning this beautiful timepiece. Best, Emmanuel
