I’ve always liked colored gold and am starting to enjoy platinum very much with my Chronometro Gondolo. But certain pieces like the CdV have a vintage vibe which really call for colored gold, imo.
The motif on the tray has been designed by a man named Pierre Frey and is called “Jardin du Palais” (Garden Palace).

Generally speaking I prefer colored gold
However it of course depends on what watch it is. The CEO of JLC visited Stockholm not long ago and he thought that Scandinaivians prefer that because of our pale skin this time of the year. Cheers. Pelle

The retail prices have increased unreasonably, imo (from 58k to 71,5k for the rose gold variant, for example), but there might be interesting opportunities on the secondary market. Best, Emmanuel
