I used to prefer white gold but somehow over the last year that has changed to having a preference for yellow or rose gold but to be honest that Vacheron in any metal is just stunning. I don't know much about the letter tray other than I really think it l... 

I’ve always liked colored gold and am starting to enjoy platinum very much with my Chronometro Gondolo. But certain pieces like the CdV have a vintage vibe which really call for colored gold, imo. The motif on the tray has been designed by a man named Pie... 

However it of course depends on what watch it is. The CEO of JLC visited Stockholm not long ago and he thought that Scandinaivians prefer that because of our pale skin this time of the year. Cheers. Pelle

I’m seriously considering adding a steel version of this reference to my collection.

The retail prices have increased unreasonably, imo (from 58k to 71,5k for the rose gold variant, for example), but there might be interesting opportunities on the secondary market. Best, Emmanuel
