Vacheron Constantin Historiques American 1921 Ref. 82035/000R-9359 Review

Dear All,

I was visiting the Vacheron Boutique to get my 222 looked at as it kept losing a few minutes.

For a few weeks I had been looking for a watch to celebrate my upcoming 50th Birthday from other brands, but I ended up buying something I already had in the past but in a different metal: the Vacheron Constantin Historiques American 1921 Ref. 82035/000R-9359 in Pink Gold. What better way to mark the occasion!

My review of the previous white gold version is available here ( www.watchprosite.com ) — amazing that it is almost 4 years ago! (White gold version now happily with another family member).

I think this is actually the more elegant version. The warmth of the rose gold against the silver dial just works beautifully. The brown alligator strap complements everything perfectly — very classic, very refined.

One thing I really appreciate: Vacheron now delivers the watch in a travel case instead of those massive boxes nobody knows what to do with. I picked the burgundy and it is genuinely useful. Small detail but it shows they get it 👏

Of course, I now have to get used to reading the tilted dial again 😄 It takes a day or two before your brain stops doing the mental rotation. But that is part of the charm — there is simply nothing else like it!
