I believe it is used on the Panerai
Lab-ID Luminor 1950 Carbotech released at SIHH this year. Of course, this is a nice piece. Would be cool to see more usage. Best, Brandon

Yes very true. I’m quite sure we’ll see few things like this in the coming years. If you put this Vantablack on the right parts and places, you can create amazing illusions
The main interest of it is to catch almost 100% of the light so any elements put on it will be glorified. Maybe watch brands will put this new material on cases too? I won’t be surprised to see Hublot making something like that 😉 Best wishes Alkiro
That Vantablack is really interesting..
I read about it when it was first incorporated into the MCT Sequential One as Brandon points out. Really very cool, though I wonder how resilient it is to bangs and bumps. Very cool stuff however.
But they made a watch with it...
So as long as someone gets their hands on that one (or more?), we could see it.
Technically, yes… but it’s whether it gets worn regularly or spends its time as a safe queen.
Only one of those scenarios will give rise to answering the resilience curiosity.
I saw it last year at SIHH.
Two watches had super-black zero albido materials last year. One was Panerai and the other was MCT.
