Some of my goals for 2016
First of all, all the best in the New Year to all PuristS. I went from 2015 into 2016 with a very classic companion, my rose gold GP 1966.
For 2016, I will continue to grow my GP collection and will look at adding what becomes available in the vintage department and that fits my budget and collection.
However, I do have 4 "big ticket" items on my wish / hunt list for 2016:
1: A modern GP Diver
For long I have been eyeing the current Sea Hawk with blue dial but after having tried them on many times, I'm now clear on my mind to look for something not quite as big. I will go back to the Sea Hawk II but will look for the smaller 40mm version, Ref 49920. At least I plan to keep it in blue. The blue dial came only with bracelet I think, but I would replace that with a rubber strap to make it the perfect summer, by-the-pool watch.
2: Laureato large date moon phase with grey dial
I have recently tried this one on and it completely won my heart. It will be a key target for 2016. Ideally, I want to find it with the grey strap, but would also take the bracelet version.
3: Laureato 8010
Now slowly moving into the vintage direction, the Laureato 8010 is semi-vintage perhaps, but at least a classic. Hard to find with the grey dial, but a must-have for my collection
4: Olimpico Chronograph
My top target is going to be a silver dial 8846 (Photo shows Blomman's watch), but I would also be happy to add any vintage Olimpico to my collection.
