Technically, Joe Satriani is one of the best. Now, my tastes are quite eclectic. I love Flamenco guitarists, such as Paco de Lucia. Or some Rock Guitarists and then the choice is large.
Steve Stevens, Rick Ocasek, John Frusciante ( Red Hot Chili Peppers ) are among those who come to my mind, right now. Of course, we could add some legends such as Eric Clapton. I also like Cat Stevens a lot!
Among all these rock Guitarists, it would be a tie between Steve Stevens and John Frusciante, for me.

He is the best artist in my opinion. Clapton. Erik, slow hand. Above Bowie Above Mercury Above Steve Above Hendrix Above Bonamassa Above anything. The king of the super band Cream.
Lorenzo Micheli
The greatest classical player of all time in my opinion. He is my main role model and source of inspiration for my playing. There are faster and louder players (both of which are technically demanding in classical) but he has the phrasing and articulation...
