Yesterday ....
... I inspected the bi-colour (stainless/pink Gold) Speedmaster with the chocolate brown dial and bezel, and the automatic movement at my local dealer. Two years ago, this was the one Omega I liked best of all they presented in Basel, and in reality it is just much more beautiful than behind the showcase's glass. This watch is highly tempting, but once again: money, money, money ...
However, the Breitling's dial colour is a lot more shiny and saturised.

I could not help to notice the relative poor shape the dial of your Longines is in. The process of printing looks like a hand-made job and 'Conquest ' is spelled rather with Q than with G. Most Conquest models between '55 and '60 had yellow- or rose-gold ...

Art, i know the guy who had the MKII done if its a UK seller. i think DLC is a much better finish even if it isnt properly black and looks to be overtaking PVD in the hi end brands. aftermarket pvd/dlc worries me slightly, not for the finish which in this...

Servicing a Rolex or Panerai isn't difficult, go to a good watchmaker and he always can help you... Neat thing about DLC coating is that it is removeble so it always can go into 'original' condition. Rgrds.P...
