For whatever reason, I’ve become enamored with certain black watches, more so the larger ones like Panerai. DLC coated titanium is particularly impressive since it makes a large piece more wearable. And it’s true, this doesn’t immediately strike me as 48m... 

I love the case, the lugs, the crown, the hands, the numerals, and even the branding on the dial! 👏😎

I've been playing with the idea of adding a flieger and came across the 40mm recently which was quite charming. I still think I may end up going with a Bronze stowa and the manual wind but curious to hear your feedback about wearability and mechanical fee... 

Originally bought in 2013 for my wife while I had the 48 mm version shown above but she eventually gave up on wearing it so I took it back. It runs very well and keeps excellent time. I like the winding feel a lot but as you said it's automatic. Feels goo... 

For some reason they went under the radar a few years ago which makes them a great option second hand (many models to choose from too).
