For whatever reason, Iāve become enamored with certain black watches, more so the larger ones like Panerai. DLC coated titanium is particularly impressive since it makes a large piece more wearable. And itās true, this doesnāt immediately strike me as 48mm, which is big. But I love this version of a cool pilot watch, although I canāt pull off a 48mm like I used to š.

I can see that, although it's not really an 'eye sore'....
I love the case, the lugs, the crown, the hands, the numerals, and even the branding on the dial! šš
How do you like it?
I've been playing with the idea of adding a flieger and came across the 40mm recently which was quite charming. I still think I may end up going with a Bronze stowa and the manual wind but curious to hear your feedback about wearability and mechanical fee...

Originally bought in 2013 for my wife while I had the 48 mm version shown above but she eventually gave up on wearing it so I took it back. It runs very well and keeps excellent time. I like the winding feel a lot but as you said it's automatic. Feels goo...

For some reason they went under the radar a few years ago which makes them a great option second hand (many models to choose from too).
