But... if I had to... I'll take the Italian.  I love the body on the DB12, but the grill loses me.  It should have a better design.

But not as easy to acquire an 812 Superfast. The AM doesn't hold a candle 🕯️ to it.

Currently I am blessed to have an 812 in my garage, it’s one of the most exhilarating cars I’ve ever owned! You really need to concentrate whilst driving this car, there is a lot of power going through those two back wheels (nearly 800 BHP through two wheels)!

I have enjoyed driving a DB12 several times, but it just does not provide the same thrill!

Nonetheless, both epic cars, but my heart sits with the 812.

OP- I'd go 812. Ferrari NA v12 to me is the pinnacle of motoring va v8TT

...I think it's one of the best-looking modern Ferraris, and the naturally-aspirated engine is a tremendous bonus. I will spend the rest of the day searching my couch cushions for spare change...

Also naturally aspirated, and will probably be one of the last naturally aspirated mid-engined exotic-brand cars ever made!  And I like to keep my cars until they're old.  So the fact that this Lamborghini is partially an Audi is a good thing - as it means the car is mechanically very reliable and well engineered to last a very long time.

According to AM this Supperleggra has a better acceleration in the mid band: 80 - 120 km/, better elasticity. Not thinking/dreaming about the DBS? A dream car for me.😃

Likely a monster to drive no doubt

The previous Vantage was so beautiful and very sonorous to drive.  From a driving perspective, that may be my favorite Aston Martin.  I haven't driven the new Vantage though.  

Give me the AM but I'll take a Ferrari as well

It's an easy decision. Yes, the 812 is a brilliant machine with a naturally aspirated V12, but the Aston may yet get a V12 variant, and I've always felt their designs were far more timelessly sophisticated than anything contemporary from Ferrari. On top of that, I don't like Ferrari as a company - their sales and marketing strategies are as off putting to me as Rolex. I don't care for either of the two brands. Cheers, Filip

Not sure it's a fair comparison; one has 2/3rd the engine size, 2/3rd the cylinders, and less than 2/3rd the price tag.  But I'm sure both cars are likely to be wonderful machines.  I found the DB9 to be much more grand tourer than sports car.  And I'm told that the F12 is a great mix of both.  Here's a special Ferrari presentation for prospective F12 clients.   www.watchprosite.com

The 812 shall be compared with the DBS Superleggera! It has a V12 and the comparable power. I know the DBS Superleggera very well and can say that is is indeed faster in the elasticity mid range than the 812….

The Ferrari is the better performance car but the Aston is an Aston….it is the choice of James Bond and you drive it when you wear your elegant suit (no tie needed) and fine leather shoes.
