There's a saying in the car industry, "I don't want to drive the marque my parents drove." Meaning if your parents drove a Mercedes or a BMW, you want to drive a Tesla! I didn't follow this rule, I drove what my mother drove because I was already somewhat familiar with her service advisor.
The watch industry is starting to gain a similar concept. If your parents wore a Rolex, the next generation wants to wear something else!
