Months ago there was a topic concerning the lapis lazuli Breguet chronograph
The question was if it was a unique piece or not.
Well I guess it’s not cause I found this in a watch book from 1996
I can’t imagine they would make only 1 piece and then put it in a watch year book

Very probable. The one auctioned off had the number 1104 different from the one in the Italian guide. This Italian yearly guide from Tourbillon was always a treat. A shame it no longer exists as such.
I think I have a similar book in English...

unique or not, a special piece
Last summer, I highlighted a Geo. Daniels at a Sotheby's auction that I promised my wife I would take a pass on. She said "If you find one with a lapis dial, you can go for it..."
Whaddya know, the very next watch was the 3237 with lapis lazuli (something I didn't know even existed) Sotheby's had estimated $10-20K, so I was definitely going to chase it ...
Well, as we know, it went for north of $120K, outside my range.
Later, I spotted this in an article. Either the lucky bidder, or there are more than one of them.
In any case, nice watch

this model was made in only 3 examples-white gold-rose gold -yellow gold.
so i assume the lapis was the same and made in 3 examples
