One of my favorite split second chronographs, the Ref 90170:
For years, I was looking for this watch. Every time I searched on the net, I would always end up reading over once again PeterCDE's informative and insightful post at this wonderful forum: http://www.network54.com/Forum/125540/thread/1067035610
I was very lucky to finally find my grail, and not just one piece, but a pair.
I miss Peter and all the old purists friends. Again, for me the best part in watch collecting is getting to meet and make friends with fellow collectors who share the same passion, even if we just see each other on the net.

I know you like this watch too because I have been following you all the time... and share the same taste as yours. It is a very hard to find watch, of very limited production, but after all there are a few in existence. Hope you will find yours very soon...

At least to my eyes, given my limited knowledge and experience, this is the best looking Venus 179 movement, well, after the top notch "treatment" by GP.
Hope they won't be forgotten.
I mean there are so many great watches made by GP, but unfortunately some of them are not known to most people. This is just one example.
I am 100% sure you are correct about that
as until your post I was only familiar with the Scuderia Ferrari rattrapante series. Even those are so nice I could imagine myself owning one, forgiving the fact it is co-branded with Ferrari (in general that would be a major turn off)
