Ingenieur: titanium or black? What do the experts prefer?
Hi IWC fans. I know the choice is up to me, but any thoughts you might have about the titanium vs the black would be appreciated.
I’m having a hard time deciding…. ;-)
From a purely aesthetic perspective, I prefer the titanium. The hands and indices really pop, and the grey feels a bit less generic than the black.
But how do you feel about the lightness?

For some reason the titanium on the wrist helps delivering the genta feel.
I’d go Ti
The grey tones works pretty well, I like the material and sandblast finish. Easy to come by a black dial steel watch.
Yes, the finishing, both the sandblasting and the polishing, look great and FEEL great to the touch. n/t

As you know, I have the Titanium which I love...
But, if it didn't exist, the one that tempted most was the white/silver dial. The fact is, they are all very nice...👍

I have this beauty in the collection that isn’t going anywhere, so I feel like the Ti or black, which are both great, fit my collection better
I thought I liked titanium better but judging from your photos, I feel more attracted to black…

But of your choices I’d get black. More and better contrast against the silver color of the steel

That is a tough choice, on the one hand ( no pun intended ) titanium is awesome, but that black dial really draws me in and looks great on you.

I am not a huge fan of titanium, but in this case, I think they did a great job with it
The polishing and sandblasted finishing give the watch a very premium feel. It must be handled “in the real” to appreciate. n/t
