Beautiful combination, congrats!
I'm curious about the failed bond with the regular (non-moonphase) Lange 1 in RG. Do you think you might've enjoyed a different dial/case/hands combination, either from Lange's current lineup or preowned -- that you might've felt the dial and hands had more "life," for example? Or do you think that any standard Lange 1 wouldn't quite be to your liking?
I'm asking because so many different variations have been produced over the years, and I'm drawn to a subset of these variations but not at all to certain others.

I too prefer blue hands and/or printed markers, to increase the contrast. I am drawn less to the "classic" Lange 1 models that have the combination of applied markers and non-contrasting hands (such as the 101.021, 101.025, 101.032). An exception to that ...

Most of the Lange 1A's had a blue steel second hand.
I believe numbers 1-20 had a gold second hand and 21-100 had a steel blue second hand, in general, but I recall seeing one exception to that general rule. The Lange 1 moonphase with the white dial, printed markers, and blue hands was made for the Italian ...
