I too prefer blue hands and/or printed markers, to increase the contrast. I am drawn less to the "classic" Lange 1 models that have the combination of applied markers and non-contrasting hands (such as the 101.021, 101.025, 101.032). An exception to that is the Lange 1A, which I like but has little contrast. These appeal to me:

Most of the Lange 1A's had a blue steel second hand.
I believe numbers 1-20 had a gold second hand and 21-100 had a steel blue second hand, in general, but I recall seeing one exception to that general rule. The Lange 1 moonphase with the white dial, printed markers, and blue hands was made for the Italian ...
